Minecraft Pocket Edition has been purchased 5 million times, according to a tweet from Mojang's Johan Bernhardsson. The figure brings the Minecraft franchise sales to close 17.5 million - give or take - for all versions. Online multiplayer is in the works for the Android and iOS versions, and the next update to the game comes in early 2013 with 0.5.1. It will fix some issues and tweak a few things. Thanks Joystiq.
