Mighty No. 9 hits $1.2 million stretch goal, will launch with two additional levels

Mighty No. 9 has reached its first stretch goal of $1.2 million which ensures Keiji Inafune's spiritual successor to Mega Man will come with two additional stages at launch. There's also a new video of Inafune thanking Kickstarter backers below.

Linux and Mac versions are part of the next stretch goal of $1.35 million.

So far 21,521 backers have pledged $1,244,228, busting the project's initial goal of $900,000 in just over a day.

Other stretch goals include a making-of documentary at $2 million and PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 ports at $2.5 million.

The game was initially slated for PC only barring whether stretch goals were met.
