Mighty No. 9 alpha gameplay video smells like Mega Man, but in a good way

Mighty No. 9 creator Keiji Inafune has posted a GDC video for his Kickstarter-backed Mega Man successor. The gameplay shown is all alpha, but it gives a glimpse of various special moves and an insight into some of the boss robots you'll be facing along the way.
The clip was posted on YouTube by developer Comcept, and as you can see; the little blue bugger has a Mega Man swagger, coupled with hook-hanging and air dashing abilities that render him quite mobile.
Comcept's footage also shows the other eight 'Mighty' robots, including an optic-camouflaged sniper, a walking Gatling gun and a half-plane, half-bipedal robot hybrid.
