Microsoft to allow more frequent XBLIG price changes
From May 23, Microsoft will allow Xbox Live Indie Game developers to change pricing far more frequently, allowing for experimentation and flash sales.
As detailed on the App Hub forums, indie developers are currently able to change the price of their releases once every 90 days; the new policy allows for new pricing once every seven days.
"This update gives you the freedom to experiment with different price points," Microsoft observed.
Other rules remain unchanged; games with packages less than 150MB in size can be 80, 240 or 400 points, and larger games can be 240 or 400 points.
Thanks, IGM.
