Microsoft staffing two new Kinect-focused studios

A set of recruitment ads suggests Microsoft's planning to set up two new Kinect-focused development studios.

Spotted by a NeoGaf user, Microsoft's careers page mentions an opening at something called LEAP, which is looking for developers who can boast "experience with Kinect or other motion control technologies".

The listing also mentions that LEAP was responsible for developing Kinect and now wants to experiment with motion tech again.

"We're the people that developed Kinect and profoundly changed the way people interact with technology. Now our incubation team is ready to change the world again, but we need your help!"

A second ad on the same site mentions something called Platform Next Studios, which is responsible for "pioneering experiences on Kinect". The job posting is looking for an HR manager for the studio.

Both studios are based in Microsoft's Redmond HQ, outside Seattle. However, there's no mention as to what both these studios are working on.

Previous rumors hinted at Kinect 2 already being in development, and being so powerful that it'll be able to read your lip movements and detect emotions.

Thanks, Eurogamer.
