Microsoft: Halo movie officially on hold

Microsoft has responded to rumors posted on Saturday regarding Steven Spielberg being interested in the Halo movie.
According to a spokesperson speaking to Kotaku, so that it can focus on Halo 3: ODST and Reach, Microsoft has put the film on hold.
"We're glad there's still a lot of enthusiasm in the entertainment industry surrounding the idea of a Halo movie. That said, the Halo feature film remains on hold as we focus on projects like Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach."
Originally, IESB was reporting that a source close to the site claimed Stuart Beattie had been shopping around his Halo: Fall of Reach script and Steven Spielberg had his eyes on it.
