Microsoft Flight Simulator will feature "all the airports in the world"

In the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator feature discovery diary, Asobo Studio's lead game designer Sven Mestas talks about Airports and Airport features.

According to Mestas, the previous Flight Simulator title simulated more than 24,000 airports. The new Flight Simulator features "all the airports in the world," including 37,000 manually designed airports.

You will find small bush and island runways as well as international airports adjacent to large cities covered. This means you can expect grass, dirt and concrete runways.

Life is also supported in each of the airports according to the size. Ambient life has been added to parking lots, airport workers have also been included and will move from and to various points, service vehicles now have drivers, and baggage carts now have workers.

The attention to detail is impressive, and if you are interested in the simulation title, you should give the discovery diary a watch.

The last official look at the game showed off snow accumulation, as the game’s weather tech uses actual real-world data from Bing.

Microsoft started testing the game via its Insider Program last summer, and although it is without a firm release date, it seems there’s plenty to be excited about.
