Microsoft denies involvement in Xbox 720 leaker police raid
Microsoft has denied any involvement in the police raid on the premises of Xbox 720 leaker 'SuperDaE. The official police warrant suggests otherwise.
Last week SuperDaE tweeted that he had been raided by Australian police and an FBI official, over claims that he had successfully sold an Xbox 720 dev kit on eBay for AU $50,000, and his involvement in other leaks.
In a statement on the matter, a Microsoft spokesperson said, "Microsoft did not initiate this FBI investigation with this individual, as has been asserted in some of the articles in the media," said a Microsoft spokesperson. We take security very seriously and have no evidence of any compromise of our corporate network. We have no further comment on this matter."
Despite the statement, The Tech Game has obtained a photo of the police warrant used in the raid. It lists Microsoft, eBay and PayPal.
