Metrico on PS Vita is a platformer with infographics

Metrico has been something of a mystery, even when it was formally announced at GDC San Francisco in March. Now a whole bunch of new details and concept art has emerged to tell us more about the pie chart platformer.

In a post on the US PlayStation Blog Roy van de Mortel, level designer at Digital Dreams, has talked about what players can expect when they eventually get their hands on the game.

"In Metrico the player needs to traverse the game world, which is built from all sorts of infographics, like bar diagrams, pie charts, line graphs, etc. These infographics constantly change based on your actions, movements and input. It’s something we’ve never seen before, that’s why we conveniently dubbed this ‘Input Morphing’. And also, because you are morphing the entire game world with your input."

There is now a playable version of the game that'll be featured at Sony's Gamescom booth this week. There's no word yet on a possible release date.
