Metal Gear Solid: Rising producer replaced
Metal Gear Solid: Rising producer Shigenobu Matsuyama has stepped down from the project.
The news comes courtesy of Kojipro's own Kenichiro Imaizumi, according to Andriasang's translation.
Matsuyama has moved to another division within Kojipro. He has been replaced by Yuji Korekado. The announcement follows several mentions by Hideo Kojima of Korekado's senior role on the project.
It's not clear when the change of staff occurred, or whether it is related to the game's long silence; it was first announced at E3 2009 and has been largely quiet since then.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising is a new, action-focused entry in the long-running franchise, starring Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty protagonist Raiden. It is expected to see a full reveal following some sort of showcase at the VGAs.
