Mega Man 11 is coming in 2018, and the Mega Man X series is being re-released
Capcom's Mega Man livestream has revealed the blue bomber's new adventure, the first numbered Mega Man game in eight years.
Mega Man 11 - revealed towards the end of the very nostalgic trailer below - is another 2D action platformer, but it has a new art style instead of replicating the NES style as Mega Man 9 and 10 did. It's got a good look to it, and it'll be coming to PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
The trailer shows off a few boss fights and some standard gameplay, as well as one of the boss powers you can unlock, which lets Mega Man attack enemies by dropping blocks from the sky onto them.
This was unveiled during a Capcomunity Twitch stream, along with a few other goodies.
Capcom also announced that the two Mega Man Legacy collections, covering Mega Man 1-6 and 7-10 respectively, are coming to Switch. They'll feature amiibo compatibility, much like the 3DS version did, and the first collection will receive the 'rewind' function that the second collection launched with (all other versions will also receive this function in a patch).
Better yet, the entire Mega Man X series will also be re-released on modern systems.
Mega Man 11 is due in 'late' 2018, so it's still a while off. By the sound of it, though, it's going to be a big year for Mega Man fans.
