Matte Blue and Red DSi consoles headed to the US this week

Nintendo of America has surprised us with word that two new flavours of DSi, Matte Blue and Matte Red, are headed to US retail - perhaps as early as this week. The new colours may be an attempt to extend the DS's already necromantically long lifespan, as the console's Q1 sales dropped year-on-year from 1.44 million to 540,000.
