The death of Master Chief is Halo 5: Guardians' official story. The real story however is the one we'll be playing.
Microsoft has released another live-action trailer for Halo 5: Guardians. The new trailer follows on from the one released last week and explains that the death of Master Chief is only what the UNSC is telling the public.
The unofficial story however is that they sent Locke and Fireteam Osiris after him. This dynamic is on display throughout and the trailer maintains the same high quality bar we've come to expect the series to produce.
Halo 5: Guardians is out October 27 on Xbox One.
