Mass Effect's N7 armour will be available in Anthem
BioWare fans around the world celebrated N7 Day yesterday, and the team behind Anthem gave a little nod to the franchise.
Commander Shepard's iconic N7 armour will be available in Anthem, confirmed by its lead producer Michael Gamble, who tweeted an image of the armour yesterday.
You'll be able to customise one of your Javelin with a special N7 skin, as is shown on the Interceptor class Javelin in the tweet, though we hope it will be available for all the classes.
The Javelin, for those not in the know, are Anthem’s Exosuits, the game’s equivalent of classes. You can read more about them in our Javelin guide here.
This isn't the first time N7 has been referenced in Anthem. During a stream at E3 earlier in the year, we saw a Ranger class Javelin don an N7 skin. Mark Darrah, Anthem's executive producer, has confirmed that all the skin options previously showcased will be available in game at no extra costs, so there's no excuse to not cosplay as Shepard wherever you go.
Even though I'd rather a new Mass Effect game, or at least some Andromeda DLC, it's nice to see that N7 is alive and well in the BioWare studio. Andromeda has finally been upgraded with support for Xbox One X. The 1.68GB patch upgrades the game’s resolution and adds HDR support.
You can see what Alex here at VG247 though of the hands-on Anthem demo from E3 in this video.
Anthem is out February 22 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One
