Mass Effect: Andromeda's latest trailer is all about weapon types and customisation
Find out the many scenarios that'll force you to use weapons in Mass Effect: Andromeda, and how each weapon class can serve you.
BioWare has released another part of Mass Effect: Andromeda's Andromeda Initiative induction videos. This time, the focus on the weapons available in the game, and what purpose each of them serves.
Squadmate Liam is driving this one, and he takes you on a tour of the four main weapon types. Pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, and sniper rifles. Each weapon type is designed for a particular type of combat, as you'd expect.
Though some of the details in the video may seem obvious to anyone who played a shooter before, there are a few Mass Effect-specific quirks in there that are worth paying attention to. For example, pistols can later be equipped with grenade launchers.
We also get a look at Andromeda's vast arsenal of melee weapons, which look like they're be a big deal this time around. Omni tools are included in this list, but they're much more customisable than your typical melee weapons, and can be used for offence and defence.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is out March 21 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
