Mass Effect: Andromeda drops 4K gameplay trailer at PS4 event
With today's PlayStation 4 Pro announcement, perhaps the biggest question simply is "How will the games look?" If the new Mass Effect: Andromeda trailer is anything to go on, that answer is simple: Pretty freaking sweet.
Story details themselves are fairly light in this trailer, preferring instead to focus on graphics themselves. On that score, Andromeda handles quite well with crisp 4K resolutions, high dynamic range lighting, and HDR10 support. Ideally, that should help improve the visuals of Andromeda's open world and the Tempest's character models - although since most characters displayed are in bulky armor it might be a little hard to gauge the latter just yet.
On the story front, the trailer shows Ryder exploring an underground Vault swarming with Remnants - some kind of AI left seemingly left behind by a previous civilization. It also highlights Ryder's discovery of the locations of several other Vaults across the Andromeda galaxy, which should drive the direction of your new crew's adventures.
Hopefully we'll learn more details of the game before it launches in March of 2017.
