Mass Effect 3 multiplayer events on hiatus over holidays

The BioWare Blog advises that the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer is going on its annual hols from December 21, meaning there'll be nobody to host N7 Bounty events on the weekends of December 28 and January 4. But before staff turn off the lights and put the chairs on the tables, it's switched on all hazard maps, added two new card packs, and unlocked three new characters - the Drell Assassin, Batarian Slasher, and Volus Protector. Nice.
