Mario Party: Island Tour and PS Vita top Media Create charts

Media Create has releases its sales charts for the week ending March 23, and amid a week full of new releases, Mario Party: Island Tour outsold all with 132,668 units moved. PlayStation Vita was also the hardware darling for the week with 35,374 units sold, up from 28,270 the prior week.

Samurai Warriors 4 debuted in second with 120,452 sold on PlayStation 3, and high profile release Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes came in at number three on PS3 with 119,615 units sold, barely missing a second place spot by 837 units. The game also moved an additional 91,903 units on PS4, bringing it's total to 211,518 making it the second best-selling title for the week.

However, if you look at Famitsu's chart, MGS5 came out on top with 151,300 units sold.

If you count the ninth place PlayStation Vita version of Samurai Warriors 4, the title moved 160,049 units which would make it the third best-selling title for the week.

J-Stars Victory VS came in fourth and fifth for PS3 and PS Vita, respectively, with total units sales at 216,061 making it the best-selling title for the week.

Hardware sales were up across the board for the period, with PS Vita moving 35,374 units, followed by PS4 with 30,201 units.

Sales of all hardware offerings totaled 136,893 units, compared to 119,059 units last week.
