Marcus, Anya get detailed in Gears 3 profiles

Game Informer's gone live with the first two character profiles for Gears of War 3.

Marcus Fenix and Anya Stroud get called up first.

Fenix's profile says that with Gears 3, he will get "a new - but final - chance" to finish off the Locust and Lambent once and for all, as he finds out "a bittersweet secret" about the "real fate" of his father Adam.

As for Anya, most people will recognise her as the control dispatcher from the first two games. Now she's on the frontline, fighting off the enemies close to home. Compared to Gears 1 and 2, she looks a lot younger too.

It's also "presumed", according to the profiles, that both Marcus and Anya are both romantically involved. Yes, we noticed that moment as well at the end of Gears 2.

Gears of War 3 launches on April 5, 2011 in the US and April 8 in the UK for Xbox 360.
