Magrunner Dark Pulse takes place in a world where "technology confronts the Cthulhu Mythos"
3AM Games has released the first trailer for Magrunner Dark Pulse, its action/reflection game set in the near Lovecraftian horror/cyberpunk future where "young and brilliant citizens" have been chosen by a corporation to join the Magtech space exploration training program.
The title was the first crowd funding project on Gamesplanet, a Kickstarter alternative, and met its $129,871 funding goal by 110%.
In the game, the candidates are equipped with a special glove using the Gruckezberg Corporation's technology, and must meander through a huge maze of challenge rooms. Objects must be magnetically charged in order to attract or repel each other.
During the training, an earthquake causes havoc, causing everything to "descend into folly and cosmic horror."
The video below stars the game's protagonist Dax who has been thrust into a world where "technology confronts the Cthulhu Mythos."
Magrunner Dark Pulse will be released on PC, PSN, and XBL.
