Madden 17: EA introduces new mode to take players "from opening day to the Super Bowl in just a weekend"
Madden 17 will introduce a new feature called Play the Moments that, in a nutshell, "allows fans to experience the important milestones in each game while simulating the rest of the matchup."
The game will simulate the play and at critical junctures, the player will be invited to hop in and take over. These shorter games allow Franchise players to go from opening day to the Super Bowl over a weekend.
"A 17-week season is a long time, and people love the playoffs, people love the draft and the off-season," said EA Tiburon's John White. "We wanted to make sure people get to experience all of that as well."
Play the Moments is an entirely optional feature only present in Franchise mode and when playing against the CPU.
Gameplanning is another new addition, allowing players to "to tailor their strategy to amplify their team’s strengths and attack their opponent’s weaknesses, complete with in-game boosts," while Big Decisions "also surface important personnel decisions such as bringing players back from injury, signing free agents, negotiating new contracts and more."
The Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game will include top community requested features like practice squads, full player editing and a dynamic score ticker.
Madden 17 will release on August 25 in the UK and Europe on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
