Lumo Developments is a new UK studio formed by members of Blitz Games following the company's collapse last year.

In a press release sent to VG247 this morning, it was confirmed that the team takes its name from "Team Lumo," which was formally Blitz Games' internal mobile studio. It sees developers of such mobile titles as Kumo Lumo and Paper Titans reunited once more.

To help aid the studio's projects, it has successfully sought funding from Tesseract Interactive SEIS Service, and managed by Daedalus Partners.

Team founder Steve Stopps said in a statement, "Team Lumo was so special for all of us, and it was sad to think that we would not get to work together again. Our shared passion for innovative and beautiful games ultimately kept us together, and has led to our new game.”

Lumo Developments will release its first title in Summer 2014, and it is expected to be announced soon. You can keep an eye on the official studio site for updates.
