Lovefilm launches on original Wii, hitting Wii U soon

Lovefilm - Amazon's movie and TV show service - has launched on Nintendo Wii today, and is due to hit Wii U 'shortly'. Check out the details below.
The service is available on Wii from a starting subscription of £4.99 via the console's eShop. The base package allows for unlimited streaming, and offers all of the content currently available via other formats such as PS3, Xbox 360 and iPad.
An official statement confirms that the Lovefilm app will be available on Wii U "shortly".
