Lord of the Rings: War in the North delayed in Australia

Warner Bros. Australia has announced a two-week delay to the release of Lord of the Rings: War in the North.

Originally scheduled for a November 2 release, local representatives this morning announced a new date of November 16. The change moves it away from a week dominated by Uncharted 3 and puts it on the other side of Skyrim, but in direct competition with Skyward Sword.

The game was slated for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 release in early November in other territories.

Lord of the Rings: War in the North features three-player co-op multiplayer, which support for two players locally and one online as well as purely online. Players choose from one of three heroes - an elven mage, human ranger, and dwarvern fighter - and play through events which take place in the background of the film trilogy.
