Lord of the Rings offering level 50 characters for sale for a limited time only

It's still against the terms of service to buy somebody else's maxed-out character, but Turbine will let you jump into Lord of the Rings Online at level 50 if you're willing to pony up.

From December 13 through December 19, you can purchase the Gift of the Valar for 4995 Turbine Points.

Turbine Point costs vary depending on how much you buy at once, but you're looking at around $60 at least, unless there's a double points sale on.

For your cash, you'll have your character promoted instantly to level 50, along with one piece of level 50 gear; one gold piece; an LIXP rune valuable enough to bring one LI to level ten; four ranks of each virtue; the rising skill; a Dusky Nimblefoot Goat mount; a 25-stack of food that scales with your level; a 25-stack of Morale and Power potions that scale with your level; five +100% XP Boosts; a single-use map to Rivendell; and 25 Mithril Coins.

The scheme was tested on the beta server prior to its introduction to the full game.
