My Limited Edition Majora's Mask New 3DS XL has arrived, and I'm so excited
Last night, around 5pm EST, UPS arrived at my house to drop off a package I have been eagerly anticipating: the Limited Edition Majora's Mask New 3DS XL.
I wanted to share the news and pictures with you not to show off, only to share my excitement.
When Nintendo announced this version of New 3DS XL in January, like everyone else in the world, I knew it would sell-out super fast.
Because of this, once the Nintendo Direct session was over, I took my lunch hour early and ran down to my local GameStop to pre-purchase the system.
I was the first one to do so for that particular store. Granted, I don't live in a very large town, but I imagine the store didn't have a large allotment set aside for it due to said location.
Honestly, I fee very lucky to have obtained this version of the new handheld despite my mad rush to the store. I never buy Limited Edition items, as most are unusually expensive, but thankfully, the price for the Majora's Mask New 3DS XL didn't cost extra.
I have been a fan of The Legend of Zelda series since I was kid. My mother bought me the first game at an outdoor flea market along with a used Nintendo Entertainment System.
For once, I was happy she dragged me along on that hot summer day. I hated flea markets more than yard sales. They were so mind-numbingly boring. But that day, it was worth being hot, sticky and wishing I were at home dressing my poor cats, who had the patience of Job, up in doll clothes.
Now, many years later, I have yet another Nintendo system to call my own: only it's golden colored and embroidered in black with one of the coolest, most recognizable Zelda images ever.
All I need now are games for it. Yes. Go ahead and laugh at me: I was so excited over pre-purchasing the system I forgot to pre-order Majora's Mask 3D.
I guess the Professor Layton games I bought for my old DS will have to do for now. (Edit: Today around 3.30pm the man of the house walked in with my Valentine's Day present. A copy of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D.)
*Please mind the dust in these pictures: I am in the process of painting my house and it is an utter, stressful wreck.
