LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes announced by Warner
Warner Interactive has officially announced TT Games is developing LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, after various rumors and speculation over the last couple of months.
In the game, Batman and Robin join other super heroes from the DC Universe including Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern to save Gotham City from Lex Luthor and the Joker.
It contains an original story along with new areas of Gotham City to explore, and the utilization of a variety of vehicles including the Batmobile and Batwing.
In addition, players will use new gadgets and suits, such as Batman’s Power Suit and Robins’ Hazard Cannon to fight crime, along with all-new abilities such as flight, super-breath and heat vision.
LEGO Batman 2's announcement has been imminent since it was first mentioned in passing during an LA Times interview with WBIE head Martin Tremblay in October.
Inserts on the sequel began showing up near the end of the year as well, with one showing Superman and Green Lantern.
LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will be released this summer for 3DS, DS, PC, PS3, Vita, Wii, and Xbox 360.
The original LEGO Batman launched in late 2008 and went on to sell 11 million copies worldwide.
