League of Legends World Championship final expected fill 45,000 seats

The League of Legends 2014 World Championship final takes place in South Korea next month, and Riot Games expects it to draw a record crowd.

According to EVP of eSports Dustin Beck, the Grand Final is expected to sell out Sangam Stadium which holds 65,000 people at capacity.
Once the stage and other event props are set up, the allowable capacity will drop to 45,000.

"Our early ticket sales have all sold out,” Beck told Polygon. “We're trying to create more capacity and flexibility, but so far so good."

During the 2013 World Championship, 12,000 tickets were sold for the Staples Center in LA. Online viewers topped 32 million with 8.5 million concurrent.

The League of Legends 2014 World Championships encompass four cities over a five week period, and the World Finals take place on October 19.
