Latest Mass Effect: Andromeda video takes you on a quick tour of the Nexus
Here's another Mass Effect: Andromeda video for you, and this one shows you around the Nexus.
Another IGN First, the video shows the various areas of the Andromeda Initiative's Nexus, which is a space station similar to the Citadel, only the floating hub is much larger in Mass Effect: Andromeda.
As previously reported, exploration and discoveries provide the player with Viability points and reaching thresholds will allow them to upgrade and grow the sizes of the Nexus.
The more upgrades made, the more colonists players can wake from cryogenic sleep. Waking the folks will also help colonize the Helius Cluster, and again, the NPCS chosen will provide the player with perks based on their given roles.
The Nexus also sports a research lab which is where the player will upgrade weapons, tech and armor from tech found while exploring. The ship also contains a bar called the Vortex at the Docking Bay which provides an area to hang out with other space dwellers and glean information their species.
And just like the local bar down the street, random events will occur at the Vortex such as poetry slams and singing. Let's hope a round of Summer Nights from Grease doesn't infect the bar. It's the karaoke equivalent of playing Stairway to Heaven at a guitar store.
Give the video a watch for more information.
Mass Effect: Andromeda releases for PC, PS4 and Xbox One in North America on March 21 and in Europe on March 23.
