Last Year wants to be the Friday the 13th game
Last Year is a new horror game that aims to recreate the Friday the 13th film in video game form. It pits five players cooperatively against one killer.
The game is a co-op, 5vs1 experience. Five characters, all based on high-school stereotypes, are controlled by five players, while one other player controls the killer, who looks an awful lot like Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th films.
Not only that, but the killer can be selected from a number of characters established in pop-culture. As the killer, the player will get to hide and anticipate players to hunt them down one by one.
The players can either band up to kill him or escape the place.
The game is being worked on by one designer, James Matthew Wearing, with help from other artists. He's asking for $50,000 CAD through Kickstarter. The game is slated for release on PC towards the end of 2016, with Oculus, LAN and online support.
There's a trailer below explaining mechanics in detail.
The game's concept art looks very dreary while maintaining colour throughout. Have a look.
