Final Splatoon weapon, Custom Hydra Splatling, drops today

Splatoon is now host to 74 weapons, which is quite enough to be going on with, thank you.
After months of free content drops, Splatoon is getting its last weapons update.
The Custom Hydra Splatling will unlock for the Nintendo shooter when January 15 rolls around in North America, and brings the total collection to 74.
Nintendo of America has indicated this is the last weapons drop the game will receive, although it hasn't said there won't be any further content. If free support does run its course, maybe it's time for a paid expansion? It's not really the big N's way, but neither was a first party online multiplayer shooter, really.
