Final scene for The Last of Us: Part 2 has been shot
The final scene for The Last of Us: Part 2 is now complete.
Of course that doesn't mean we'll get our hands on The Last of Us: Part 2 any time soon. Still, it's nice to know things are wrapping up in one department.
Naughty Dog boss Neil Druckmann tweeted news of the final scene being finished earlier this week. He also said voice actress Laura Bailey has completed her motion capture sequences for the game.
Bailey's part in the game is unknown, but we do know Ashley Johnson stars as Ellie and Westworld's Shannon Woodward plays her love interest, Dina. Rapper Logic and Travis Willingham also have unknown roles in the game.
Druckmann also revealed "the most ambitious cinematic shoot we’ve ever done," starring Ellie and Joel (Troy Baker) was finished up.
Announced at PSX in 2016, The Last of Us: Part 2 is set five years after the events of the first game. Ellie is now 19 years old and the only playable character in the game.
A release date is still unknown, but it's possible The Last of Us: Part 2 will be a PlayStation 5 launch title. Maybe. We're just throwing it out there. Considering all trailers and screens for the game were captured on PS4 Pro, current console owners won't likely be left out in the cold. Especially if the late-2019 rumors prove true.
