Fumito Ueda's just confirmed a holiday 2011 release for The Last Guardian at Sony's TGS presser.

The date was mentioned at the end of a, quite frankly, amazing trailer for the game. Get it below.

The long-rumoured ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD PS3 remakes were also confirmed, trailered and screened to death - get everything on that here.

Ueda confirmed during his time on stage that The Last Guardian will support 3D.

He's also revealed at an event to press that the main human character in the game was originally a girl. This was decided against for two reasons in the end, however.

One being that, with all the climbing in the game, it was thought it would be best a boy would fit the profile as a young boy would have a better grip then a young girl (via D'Toid).

The second being the girl would have ended up wearing a skirt, which you could probably see up with certain camera angles. Ueda in pervert shocker.

Some new screens were released for it yesterday, with a lot more below. It. Looks. Amazing.

The last Team ICO title, Shadow of the Colossus, released back in Europe in 2006 for PS2, and will be getting a re-release on PS3 alongside ICO.
