LA Game Space Kickstarter offers 30 games for $15
You can get your paws on 30 indie games, including the latest from Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi, for as little as $15, while helping to fund a new development environment in Los Angeles.
The LA Game Space is a proposed complex in Los Angeles which will house exhibitions; host speaker series and workshops accessible to online participants; host developers with residency programs; and enable research via fully equipped labs.
Organisers are hoping to raise $250,000 to help fund the non-profit center, but they don't expect you to contribute out of the goodness of you heart. Instead, it's offering a number of reward tiers, including the all-important 30 indie games pack.
The games hail from a wide variety of respected developers and creatives, including Hotline Miami developer Cactus; Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward; Bennett Foddy of QWOP fame; Ben Esposito from the team behind The Unfinished Swan; Mark Essen of Nidhogg; Chris Osborn of Bit.Trip; and perhaps most excitingly, Takahashi.
All 30 games are new, experimental titles, for PC and Mac - not stuff you'll already have picked up elsewhere. Indeed, Takahashi's game is exclusive to the deal, making it an extremely tempting proposition all on its own. The games bundle is offered for donations above $15, but you can grab Takahashi's game for just $5.
There are loads and loads more rewards on offer so check the Kickstarter for full details. Pitch video below.
