Kojima calls Project Ogre "subdued", "different" from past work

Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima has let slip some utterly nebulous comments on the nature of the mysterious Project Ogre.

“I can’t really say too much about that project yet, but it’s a very subdued experience,” the designer told Official PlayStation Magazine UK as part of its upcoming Hideo Kojima cover issue.

“It’s a little bit different to what I’ve done up until now. On the surface it will look similar, but once you get into it, it will be a different experience – and I’m hoping people look forward to that”.

The lack of details isn't surprising when you consider how many irons Kojima Productions has in the fire before it gets to unannounced projects. Alongside the recently-released Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, there's Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D, Metal Gear Solid: Rising, and the Zone of the Enders HD Collection.

“The Ogre project is going to take a lot of time, so I want to produce some other things on the side, like I’m doing with Rising. So while I’m working on Ogre there might be a couple of other projects going on at the same time," Kojima explained.

OPM has been releasing small teases from its Hideo Kojima cover issue for weeks now. As part of the feature, Kojima said he'll "probably have to make" Metal Gear Solid 5 himself, and that while fans may have trouble adjusting to Metal Gear Solid: Rising, he's taking good care of it. The magazine goes on sale on November 29.
