Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is “in the fifth inning”

In a carefully vague statement incomprehensible to most of us, 38 Studios founder Curt Schilling has dropped hints as to when we can expect Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.

"If it were a baseball game, we'd be in the fifth inning maybe?" Schilling told Joystiq.

The former baseball pro said Reckoning would be demonstrated live at PAX East next month, and teased new information next week.

Schilling was still close-mouthed on his upcoming MMO, but did answer a query about the possibility of going free to play.

"We have an open mind about everything, except the game," he said.

"We look at what we're creating and we say, 'What is the best possible guest experience we can create with this product?' And that'll answer your business model questions and your goals and objectives for the game."
