Kingdom Hearts 3DS gets spring date in Japan, World Ends with You characters

For the uninitiated, The World Ends with You was a woefully under-appreciated DS title from Square Enix that actually managed a "double the screens, double the fun" approach - as opposed to most early DS games, which merely doubled the gimmickery. At any rate, it was delightful. So, of course, no one bought it, because the universe only wishes to punch you in the teeth and steal your lunch money.

1UP's TGS preview, however, reveals that Neku's getting another shot at the spotlight, brief though it may be. We don't want to spoil it, so click through the link for the whens, whys, and wherefores. Happily, combat's also apparently made giant-shoed strides in the right direction - which is to say away from uninterruptible animations.

Meanwhile, a show floor booth photo floating around on NeoGAF doesn't leave much to the imagination by all-caps screaming "COMING SPRING 2012." Granted, that's Japan-only for now. A Western release is inevitable, but still unannounced.
