Kinect for Windows will be available in 2014

Another versions of Microsoft's Kinect is in development for Windows and has been announced to release next year.

Using the same technological foundation as the Xbox One Kinect, the Windows version is said to focus more on touch free applications for computing and business. The Kinect for Windows blog outlined some of the features of the new Kinect sensor, including a color camera, a noise-reducing microphone, improved skeletal tracking and an infrared sensor that works in nearly any lighting conditions.
