Just Cause would be "perfect" for next-gen Microsoft and Sony consoles

Avalanche has told Eurogamer that the Just Cause franchise is "perfect" for Microsoft and Sony's next console outing.

"There is a very strong emotional attachment to the franchise as it was created by me and my design team here so we would obviously like to see a very bright future for Just Cause," said Avalanche boss Christofer Sundberg. "In this day and age when everyone is struggling to make money, my opinion is that the JC IP is perfect for everything that next-gen has to offer."

Avalanche said back in February it has three new titles to announce during the first half of 2012, and said last year that its new titles will be released during 2013 and 2014.

One of these is to be shown off at E3 this year, but the title being shown is neither Just Cause 3 nor Renegade Ops 2 for that matter.

Avalanche has said previously it would love to develop Just Cause 3, but the decision to do so would be entirely up to Square Enix.
