Just Cause 3's engine takes centre stage in the game's latest dev diary. The game's engine is named after the studio, Avalanche, and according one developer, it operates on procedural rule sets to problems.

The key goal for the team, according to the video, is making the game do what the player thinks it should in the various situations it throws at them. There's also a look at Just Cause 3's destruction system.

Just Cause 3 is out December 1 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game's minimum and recommended specs were revealed overnight.
