Just Cause 3 reviews are in - all the scores
The Just Cause 3 review embargo has lifted, and critics are definitely in two minds on Avalanche's latest.
Just Cause 3 was always going to be a little bit divisive; some people enjoy Avalanche's loving embrace of B-movie action tropes and open-world systemic action, while others find it a bit silly. Open-world fatigue is certainly a concern this close to Fallout 4 and Assassin's Creed Syndicate, too.
But still, it's pretty impressive how perfectly polarised the Just Cause 3 scores are: on the one side, a pack of eights and on the other, a cluster of sixes. When you get a binary like this it's super important to read the actual reviews rather than just relying on the numbers.
Apart from the dissent over the game's inherent appeal, there's a lot of discussion of bugs and performance, which you should check out in detail; apparently the frame rate regularly goes to pieces.
Anyway, here are the scores. The last couple of major review embargoes have been served with lashings of "review in progress" notes, but this set is pretty straight forward. Everything out of ten except where otherwise noted. Let us know if you see any others!
