Jurassic World Evolution Grassland Explained

While managing your dinosaur enclosures you’ll notice three meters on screen. These relate to the proportion of each type of feature you can place into the area. There’s Water, Forest, and Grassland. Grassland counts as everything that isn’t trees or water. This is comprised mostly of green material and grass, all of which will increase the meter as you add them into an area. Shrubs and hedges do not count towards Grassland and only count as a cosmetic item.

How to Increase Grassland Meter in Jurassic World Evolution

While playing the game you will probably run into a situation where your Grassland meter will turn red. This means that there is a low ratio of Grassland compared to Forests and water. To increase Grassland rating, you can either remove trees, or increase the overall size of the enclosure. Removing trees is the easiest way to fix the problem, but if you can’t get it to work then aim for a bigger area.

How to Increase Water Meter in Jurassic World Evolution

Increasing your Water Meter is as simple as using the game’s scenery tools to add lakes, ponds and other bodies of water. It’s all about balance though, so keep a careful eye on each meter whenever you change anything. Just like with any other meter, increasing the enclosure size will usually give you some more breathing room to experiment.

How to Increase Forest Meter in Jurassic World Evolution

The forest meter can be a little tricky to manage, as it’s easy to confuse certain elements with those that count towards Grassland. Forest is essentially just trees, so add more to improve your rating. If you find yourself in the red on any of the other two meters, removing trees is often the best way to fix things.
