Jurassic World Evolution Star Rating Guide

While playing Jurassic World Evolution, you’ll notice a star rating in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This indicates how well you are doing at managing your park, and is affected by a huge range of factors.

One of the most important things to keep an eye on is the health of each of your dinosaurs. This is raised by giving each dinosaur space to move around in, regular food and stimulation. Another important thing to consider is how happy your guests are - making them wait in line for food, queue to see dinosaurs, and show them sickly ones when they finally reach their turn are all big no-nos.

How to get 5 stars in Jurassic World Evolution

There’s a hell of a lot to consider when trying to improve your star rating for each island you're running a park on. We’ve gathered together a list of sure-fire tips to increase your Star Rating, and ensure that you get 5 stars on every island in Jurassic World Evolution.

  • Have a diverse group of dinosaurs on each island, guests like to see a variety of dinosaurs, at least seven different species will do it.
  • Prioritize researching disease cures in advance, this will ensure you are prepared for any outbreaks, and won’t lose any dinosaurs as a result.
  • Modify each of your dinosaurs in the Genetic Engineering menu, this will increase their overall rating and contribute to your star rating.
  • Make use of the heat maps feature, so you can identify areas that aren’t getting much love and act accordingly.
  • When moving to some of the later islands, build storm defense towers. They’re expensive, but will quickly make up by protecting your enclosures from damage.
  • The reward items for completing contracts are definitely worth your time, head back to ones you’d skipped previously and make sure to claim them.
  • Make sure your restaurants are fully staffed as guests hate lines.
  • Build monorails to decrease travel time and make guests happier.
  • Build enclosures with viewing platforms in mind.
  • If you’re struggling to start out on an island, sell some buildings then put up an Expedition center. Head to an island you’ve built up already and start a load of high-value Expeditions. Now, head back to the island you’re struggling with and claim all of the rewards, you can sell them for more money.
