Jim Brown discusses making maps more dynamic in Gears of War 3
In the video posted below the break, Jim Brown, lead level designer on Gears of War 3, talks to IGN about creating new multiplayer maps for the game, fan feedback, common complaints, weapon balancing, and lot more.
According to Brown, the team tried "really hard this time around" to make the maps more dynamic.
"There's a lot of motion, things you can interact with, cover you can destroy, push over, and other things just to make it feel a lot more alive," he said, before eventually adding that all maps in the game will have something that is "moving, or alive so to speak."
Give it a watch.
Gears 3 is out towards the end of the month, and I'm, personally, planning on tossing my phones or any other sort of communication device in the bin until I finish the game.
