Media Create has released its Japanese hardware figures for September 13-19 and the figures show a sharp increase in sales for DS on all SKUs.

DSi sold three times as many units as last week (16,345K), DSi LL sales were up 1.5 times more than the week prior (19,076), and DS Lite sales were up by 2,809.

Combined, all three SKUs moved 85,770 units compared to 39,749 last week. Media Create has attributed the boost to the debut of Pokemon Black & White.

Sony saw both a decline and a surge in sales compared to the week prior, with PSP moving 895 units less, and PS3 moving an extra 1,189 consoles out the retail door. PS2 even moved an extra 27 units last week.
