Japanese gamers not too interested in Vita, Wii U, says study

A study from Japanese research group Goo Research has conducted that roughly 10% of Japanese gamers are interested in getting either a PlayStation Vita or Wii U at launch.

The survey, which took place between October 17 and 19, saw 1,083 people take part.

On Wii U, only 9.4% are keen, with 36.1% interested, but not looking to buy one. 54.5% aren't interested in the new Nintendo platform at all in the slightest.

For Vita, only a mere 10.2% noted an interest, while 35.2% were interested, but ain't aiming to buy. 54.6% weren't even interested in the slightest for the handheld ahead of its December release in the country.
