Jailed Bohemia Interactive devs return home

Ivan Buchta and Martin Pezlar, the Bohemia Interactive employees arrested on a Greek Island for 'spying', have returned home to emotional celebrations.

The pair have been in custody since September, and although they still face trial, are allowed to return home in order to see their friends and family. While this is certainly a moment of relief for the duo, it appears there is still a long way to go on the quest for freedom.

Political relations between Greece and the Czech Republic have frayed during the ordeal. Czech Republic president Vaclav Klaus wrote a letter to his Greek counterpart back in November, asking for "special attention" to be placed on the detainees.

"This case is very sensitive to the Czech public and also to me as President of the Republic", wrote Klaus.

"The fate of our citizens anywhere in the world matters to us."

If Buchta and Pezlar are found guilty of snapping confidential photos of a Greek military installation, both will face jail charges of up to 20 years.
