Jaffe: I "don't care" if people never trust me again

Eat, Sleep, Play boss David Jaffe has said it's his games, not his words, that he wants people to believe, following a spate of lying about the identity of his current project in the run-in to E3.

Asked by VG247 on Twitter whether or not he was concerned about the fact no one may ever believe anything he ever says again, Jaffe claimed having a reputation for being truthful wasn't important to him.

"Don't care," he said. "All anyone should really care about where I am concerned is the games I work on. The rest is irrelevant. My honesty will be in the games I design, thanks very much."

Jaffe has defended his decision to openly lie about the fact he was working on a new Twisted Metal, saying a "genuine E3 surprise was more valuable to me than sort of being totally honest when people ask me questions."

The PS3 version of Twisted Metal was announced at the end of Sony's E3 press conference last week.
