Is Destiny getting a new PvP/Crucible mode?

A Destiny designer was spotted playing a new Crucible mode we've not heard about before.
An image appeared on NeoGAF recently showing a new Crucible/PvP mode in Destiny called Crimson Doubles. The image shows designer Lars Bakken playing the mode in a private test build, which is usually used to make sure things are working before pushing them out to the public.
