iPhone 4S launches in US today

One of the biggest gaming platforms in the world is launching its latest iteration today, as US customers impatiently wait for their packages to arrive. Though Apple did not end up announcing the highly anticipated iPhone 5, the 4S should still usher in a substantial change for iPhone gamers. The system sports the new and improved A5 processor which will boost the capabilities of games on that system. The best example being the upcoming re-release of Grand Theft Auto III which will only be available on the iPhone 4S.

Apple has said that the A5 processor will make the 4S twice as fast as the iPhone 4, while the dual-core graphics chip is said to be seven times faster.

Across the country up to a thousand people have been counted lining up outside Apple stores in major cities, as Apple's preorder stock was completely sold out. The iPhone 4S broke Apple's previous preorder record, as over one million people paid the $200 (plus a two year service provider contract) to preorder the device.
